What a WONDERFUL place to stay! We traveled from Upstate New York and stayed in the Boudoir Room for 4 nights on our honeymoon. We had a spectacular time!  For such a spacious, intricately decorated antique building, it could have easily been dusty, dirty, and a dank and dated atmosphere. Instead, the rooms and parlor are immaculately kept and felt very clean and new, while preserving the impressive moulding, structure, and other 19th century charms that make the Silver Fountain Inn and Tea Parlor a truly one of a kind, unique place to stay.  Breakfast is included every morning, ordered from a daily menu, made fresh in the kitchen, and served by the lovely Jerri, an attentive staff member who balances perfectly her friendly New England charm and socialite mannerisms with maintaining a relaxed environment of privacy, optimal for even more shy folks who might otherwise be intimidated by such an intimate setting. Plus, the scones are to die for! There plentiful ammenities and extras, and a home-y feeling that made for a very comfortable stay. Even better, the Thirsty Moose Taphouse and other local establishments are well within walking distance.  We gathered that unfortunately, beloved owners Jim and Pam Pidgeon had to sell the Silver Fountain Inn and Tea Parlor for personal ressons, but we can affirm that it is still a fantastically pleasant place to stay under ownership of Kim Jemison!  We really hope to return one day soon!

An absolute gem of a place. The décor is in keeping with the age of this guest house, built in the late 19th century. Possibly a bit overdone, but certainly not overpowering. The room was cosy, the bed was super comfortable and parking was a doddle. The main town is a short stroll away with plenty of high quality eateries nearby and I was able to borrow an umbrella as it was raining. The 24/7 tea station was put to good use on my arrival! The lady with whom I dealt with was very hospitable and knowledgeable. At night, I could occasionally hear the whistle of a freight train some miles distant, but for me personally, it added to the charm of the location. The breakfast selection was just right as were the portions. I'd have no hesitation in recommending this place to anyone who needs a comfy, homely place to stay.

As I sit here sipping the delicious tea I bought during my stay, I am transported back to the darling tea parlor at this home. WOW is all I can say - everything from the friendly owner and tea parlor/ breakfast connoisseur, to the attention to detail, aromatic teas and delectable breakfast that stuffed us for the whole day, this stay EXCEEDED my expectations in every way. The home is magnificent, cosy and has a good vibration. Totally loved it and will return! Perfect for a girls trip or a romantic couples trip - also for any other occasion or event.

We had such a relaxing weekend here. Pam and Jim are so welcoming. Breakfast every morning was delicious, and it was great to have access to coffee and a great selection of teas throughout the day. The Victorian home and decor make for a unique stay, and I'm interested in checking out their afternoon teas and murder mystery experiences in the future. The location is also fantastic - super close to downtown Dover and easy to drive around the seacoast area.

My husband and I booked a last minute Babymoon get away for Christmas weekend before our baby comes in the new year and we’re over joyed by our stay! Was absolutely magical, the Inn was more beautiful then the photos, breakfast was exceptional, and we are now officially Tea people. Have already recommended to several others, and can’t wait to book a Murder Mystery event with them in the future!!
